Toddlers Program

Ages: 1-2 years old

Ratio: 1 teacher to 4 toddlers

Our toddler program encourages children to learn about their expanding world through hands-on exploration and social interaction in safe, fun, and engaging surroundings. Guided by early childhood development professionals, toddlers take part in learning experiences that promote their emerging independence and social skills, and foster self-confidence. The curriculum is adapted for each child’s age and stage of emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development.

In our Toddlers Program, we focus on four of the nine key domains of development:

  • Social/Emotional: Establishes and sustains positive adult and peer relationships; begins to manage feelings and follow instructions; interacts with peers and makes friends
  • Physical: Demonstrates balancing skills, gross-motor manipulative skills; begins to demonstrate fine-motor strength and coordination; uses fingers and hand
  • Cognitive: Engages in eye contact and emotional mirroring; shows curiosity and persistence, attends and engages; attempts to solve simple problems; begins to show flexibility and inventiveness in thinking
  • Language skills: Comprehends language; vocalizes sounds and begins attempting words; follows instructions
